Michael began to take an interest in bartending during his school days. He studied hospitality at Qingdao Hotel Management College from 2004-2008. With his love for bar culture and live music, he started off working as a part-time bartender at some small popular bars such as Lennon Bar and New York Bar in Qingdao during his spare time.

After he graduated in 2008, Michael moved to Beijing to work for ‘The Opposite House’ in Sanlitun part of “Swire Hotels” who are known for their trendy boutique hotels. Michael developed his skills as a bartender at Mesh bar. After working his way to become Bar Manager together with his team, Mesh became one of the most popular lounge/bar’s in Beijing and also won many awards.

Now having joined the Opera Bombana Team he is ready to use his experience to create more delicious cocktails and make sure you have a wonderful experience at our bar.
